HOLY WEEK and EASTER SUNDAY
The most important events in history will be celebrated from Sunday, April 10th through Sunday, April 17.
Palm Sunday Service will be held on Sunday, April 10th, at 10:15 a.m. and will include the traditional procession with Palms and the Sacrament of Holy Communion (with First Holy Communion for the children who have been preparing to receive).
Maundy Thursday Service will be held at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, North Weissport, at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 14th. The order for corporate confession and forgiveness will open the service with the opportunity for those attending to receive the laying on of hands and a personal word of absolution. Holy Communion will be celebrated. The service concludes with the Stripping of the Altar as we remember Jesus’ betrayal and arrest in the Garden of Gethsemane.
The Passion and Death of Jesus will be the focus of our Good Friday Service at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 15th at Holy Trinity. We will hear and meditate on the suffering and crucifixion of Jesus from the Gospel of John.
The Glorious Resurrection of Our Lord will be celebrated on Easter Sunday, April 17th at 10:15 a.m. This Festival Service of Holy Communion will include special music from both the Choir and the Handbell Choir
SAVE THE DATE – Knoebel’s – June 5
SAVE THE DATE! Our 2022 Church Picnic at Knoebel’s will be held on Sunday, June 5th. We are looking to determine our need for a bus to get our members and friends to the park. In the past we have rented a full-size school bus but, in recent years, we haven’t come close to filling it. Please contact the church office or sign the sign-up sheet at church to let us know if you want to ride the bus. We may be able to rent a smaller bus this year.
Thrift Shop
Our Thrift Shop is open on Tuesdays for 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. Donations are only taken during operating hours when there is someone to accept them.
Please do not just leave the donations outside the door, they must be given to someone or they may end up in the trash.
Thank You
